Alisa Goikhman — Do Not R.S.V.P

Video Cards (Short-term Project) — Winter 2014

A video invitation card in its current use is far from appearing effortless. Those who choose to communicate with their potential clients through this medium, are as well as saying: "we really really want you to notice us.

"Do not R.S.V.P" is playing with the oldest social conduct trick known to man: play hard to get and people will suddenly want you. The card, when closed emits party sounds. The moment you open it, all heads are turned to you and awkward silence falls in the room. a second later the screen turns off. Immediately as you close the card the party resumes.
